Bob Miller

Bob Miller is best-known for founding three successful publishing companies over the course of his career. He started Hyperion for Disney in 1990, acting as its CEO for 18 years, during which the company published hundreds of bestsellers, including Oprah Winfrey’s Make the Connection, Caroline Kennedy’s The Best-Loved Poems of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, David Halberstam’s The Teammates, Mitch Albom’s The Five People You Meet in Heaven, and Randy Pausch’s The Last Lecture.

Miller created the first profit-share imprint, HarperStudio (which published Gilbert King’s Pulitzer Prize-winner, Devil in the Grove) and created Flatiron Books for Macmillan, which published 94 New York Times bestsellers over the eleven years of his leadership, including books by Oprah Winfrey, Glennon Doyle, Liane Moriarty, Brad Meltzer, and S.A. Cosby.
